Organic Short-grain Brown Rice – ITALY
Shortg-grain brown rice is a full-flavoured, nutty rice and is an excellent source of wholegrain, as the bran and germ of the grain are still attached. As such, brown rice is more nutritious and higher in fibre than white rice. Try using the short-grain variety as an alternative to arborio rice in a wholegrain risotto.
Bring to a boil in a pot with a 1:2.5 ratio of water to rice.
Reduce heat and simmer for about 35 - 40 minutes or until tender.
